Purina offers earned vacation, sick, and personal time for you to use throughout the year as well as opportunities for overtime.Starting pay is $33.85/hr with a Maintenance Progression Plan that provides for increasing wages up to $40.60/hr, based on knowledge/skill demonstration and performance reviews.As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will work in a climate controlled maintenance shop and play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant.This position will work night shift (7pm-7am) on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off.Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentationElectrical work with 120, 220, and 480 voltTroubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCsUse test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulatorsRepair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipmentMaintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needsComplete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collectionRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED and 1+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environmentORVocational certificate in MechatronicsOR2 year technical degree completedThe approximate hourly pay rate for this position is $33.85 per hour including a shift differential for night shifts.
