Summary of Position: Provide leadership and coordination in the implementation of K-12 Partnerships activities through collaboration with internal and external teams. Frequent travel to area high schools is required to facilitate program coordination, partnership development, and student support activities. This position requires a flex schedule which may include evenings and weekends.

This is a hybrid eligible position that would allow for 1 day a week working from home after the training period.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required.
2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.
3. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success.
4. Leadership/Coordination - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate career pathway exploratory activities for middle and high school students
  • Serve as liaison between Western, regional secondary schools, and other stakeholders
  • Create year-long plan to visit high school Career and Technical Education and dual credit teachers
  • Assist in the development, scheduling, promotion and tracking of high school dual credit programs
  • Lead and monitor the dual credit registration process
  • Assist in the development, submission and reporting for the Career Prep grant 5. Collaboration - Supporting Action/Task May Include:
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of staff development events to highlight best practices and connect secondary and postsecondary initiatives
  • Serve on various internal and external committees to foster collaboration and partnerships
  • Assist with the development and execution of a year-long K-12 communications plan, including but not limited to academy and dual credit promotional materials
  • Organize and facilitate high school dual credit information and orientation sessions
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and staff in their efforts to support high school academy students, dual credit teachers, and partnerships with all stakeholders
  • Collect, maintain, and create reports for goal attainment and promotion purposes
    Qualifications
    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required in related field with 3 yrs occupational experience OR
  • Education in related field combined with related occupational experience totaling 7 yrs OR
  • Related Occupational experience totaling 7 yrs
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of secondary education and career and technical education
  • 5 years' experience
    Required Certification/Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license


    Special Instructions/About Western
    This position reports to: Manager - K12 Partnerships

    Starting annual salary range based on education and experience: $55,299 - $72,331

    This position would include competitive salary, along with a wide variety of benefits available to full-time Western Technical College Employees.
