Job Description:

As the HRBP Planning Senior Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to the business leaders within the Customer Strategy and Insights team. Here you will have responsibility for embedding HR strategy and providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal business groups with the objective of adding value across current and future business. You will work to drive effective organizational design, talent management, performance management, employee relations and rewards initiatives within your assigned business unit. In addition, you will also be responsible for assisting in HR planning across our omnichannel HR team by supporting the build of strategic workforce people plans and supporting broad based talent management efforts across the team. This leader must enjoy a fast-paced multi-facet business with the ability to slow self and others down, to think strategically to move swiftly.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy office in Richfield, MN, and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What youll do

  • Accountable for influencing leaders and partnersincluding directors, managers, and team membersby providing HR advice, counsel, and decision support to address challenges and enhance team effectiveness
  • Coaches and develops employees and leaders
  • Is a change agent; applies a change management and change leadership lens to all situations
  • Applies business acumen and HR technical expertise to translate strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful initiatives and actions
  • Act as a steward for enterprise-wide efficiency by identifying opportunities for process, policy, and training improvements, co-creating streamlined processes with HR COEs, and simplifying HR programs across complex business units
  • Supports with complex and/or long-term tests and pilots that are highly cross-functional, building sound people plans that create a culture of belonging and engagement
  • Utilize a predictive and proactive approach to support business and employee needs through work prioritization, transparent strategic workforce planning, and alignment of efforts across business units and the omnichannel HR spaceBasic qualifications
    • 5 or more years of experience in a combination of the following: Human Resources, Employee Relations, and/or talent management
    • 5 or more years of experience in process/program management
    • 3 or more years of experience building and sustaining relationships across all levels, inclusive of Officers, Directors, Managers, etc. Preferred qualifications
      • Proven ability to provide strategic counsel to leadership with innovation and futuristic mindset- with a what if or what is possible approach
      • Demonstrated conflict resolution specifically among parties with varying interests, including development of strategies and models
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire as well as have courageous conversations that changes outcomes of performance or behavior
      • Previous experience in Retail, Services or Supply ChainWhats in it for you
